Ride outs

We typically run around 20 group rides of varying length and challenge every year.

We organise midweek evenings or at weekends ride outs to destinations such as:

• Llangollen
• Hunstanton
• Filey
• Yorkshire Moors

and more locally

• Derbyshire Dales “5 Counties Tour”
• Vale of Belvoir
• Charnwood
• Melton Mowbray pie making

Rides are managed so that new newcomers feel welcome, can easily join in and are able to ride at their own pace without feeling pressured to move out of their comfort zone. The group leader normally has radio contact with the tail rider.

Rides are always managed to be safe and legal so that speed limits are not exceeded.

If requested, individual feedback can be provided from the Observers in the group to advise on any riding skills that might be improved on.

Club Members also tend to arrange informal rides to events such as Motorcycle Live, Sand Racing at Mablethorpe, track days, touring holidays, IoM TT Races etc

We also combine with our colleagues at Derbyshire Advanced Motorcyclists (events calendar here) for a few rides a year and raise some money for the Air Ambulance while having fun.
